hmmm...brand new 2006 for $3100 or a 19-year-old bike for more than 50% of the cost...

Rebels tend to hold their value... although I definitely think his price is too high for an '87, according to market standards it really isn't all that unreasonable. Since people usually use Rebels mostly as a learner bike, the miles build slowly, and they don't undergo any real hard riding, so they stay on top of their game for a long time.

I doubt this is the best place to sell... Cycletrader or Craigslist would probably be better. Sometimes, when people REALLY want to find a good, well running Rebel, they'll pay more for one. Back when I was looking for one I know I would have atleast considered it... you'd be surprised, but they are somewhat difficult to come across... especially in peak season when people get psyched about learning.

if any of you guys making offers want to come ride it, you may find yourself willing to make a more suitable offer than 500 cause she is in such good condition for her age. She is a MILF of motorcycles.

^^ Yeah its the perfect starter bike - it was my first bike and i taught my room mates how to drive it as well - they are all first timers. As of the height - i am 6'0" and i think it is one of the most comfortable bikes i have ridden, a couple people just over 6 foot rode it and didn't complain.
just give me a call if you want to sit on it or learn how to drive it.

it has an NCSU parking decal that is good through the summer and obviously it gets incredible gas mileage - nothing like dropping $3.87 at the gas statioin to last you 2 weeks.

What?!? I just got quoted for that bike for 550 w/full, 355 with just liability. Think you could give me a call sometime tomorrow (910) 233-4798? I don't get thewolfweb.com at work, and I have to put in a 14 hr day.

Thanks,
Rob

^^ That is a ridiculous quote. I pay ~ $250/yr on my '99 Rebel... and that's with 3 insurance points attached to it.

ncsukat, if you don't mind, whats your age? I'm 20/3pts also, but male. That quote was from Geico. I had one from progressive for 311, and I'm gonna call statefarm this aft.

if it's listed as a second vehicle, the insurance costs are probably lower?
