Get 'em Herb.
What would be REALLY funny....is if Herb changed his offense at ASU.
Fucking hilarious. 4/24/2006 12:02:55 AM |

What if he's not scared...maybe he just doesn't like Duke or Coach K?? Or maybe he fucked Demarcus Nelson's girl ala Adam Harrington and Archie Miller. No one knows.

If you believe the veteran premies on PP, Sendek was supposed to be changing the offense at NCSU. With the recuits we had and the ones coming in there was good reason to start moving away from the Princeton influence.4/24/2006 12:14:45 AM |

^Yeah yeah yeah. I've never seen anything "concrete" from those guys that would have led me to believe that for sure.
However, I did think he was slowly bringing his offense along. I just think it would have changed with the more athletes we had in. But I don't think he ever would have abandoned that offense totally. 4/24/2006 12:17:12 AM |

Except that he was running low on even remotely reliable 3 point shooters, but would have been pretty deep in just "athletes".4/24/2006 1:53:03 AM |

^I still think he would have kept the core of the offense there.
However, now that he's starting all over at ASU, he might think twice about implementing that offense again. I'll be interested to see what happens. 4/24/2006 8:01:25 AM |

Either way, there'll be some glaring flaw in whatever he implements that he will be too stupid or too scared to address for years.

I think the offense is pretty creative. Or pretty complicated. Either way...it's pretty fucking difficult. I sat down with one of the former players for a couple hours and had him explain it to me. There's a lot more that goes into it than what you see on TV. 4/24/2006 9:30:53 AM |

or he recognizes that Herb is regarded as one of the most cerebral coaches in college ball and he has caught wind that Herb is revamping his style to be more reminiscent of the "traditional" offense with a twist of the spread offense 4/24/2006 12:40:15 PM |

Yea. Duke isn't exactly known for great big men. (don't give me crap about Elton Brand -- he could have gone ANYWHERE and been as good). It's gotta be frustrating to see 35 3's hoisted a game and you left on an island down low every defensive trip... 4/24/2006 12:41:46 PM |
