That Petrovicky hit was even better, since he slid like halfway across the ice. Although, you didn't get the effect of the camera zoomed in on his face while he was off in another universe.

i remember seeing this on tv the other day. that shit was rediculous. the edmonton/detroit game earlier today was pretty good as far as hits go too. playoff hockey kicks ass!

Yeah, at least half of those Stevens hits, most notably the Lindros hit, were elbows.

hes on his toes true, but there isnt a blatant elbow, it comes up after the hit.

No, he's pretty much leading with his elbow, man.

After seeing him play regularly for more than 10 years, I can say without a doubt in my mind that the motherfucker almost always led with his elbow.

aha after watching the top hits, yea its clear that he likes to throw his elbow around. but his most recent hit still isnt 100 percent clear.


actually, after watching it 10 more times, it looks like shoulder to the face deal. what happens to his head right after the hit is completley wrong.

He doesn't lead with his elbow. He follows through with it...He'll keep is tight against his body and then after hitting them he'll throw it out. If the NHL really thought he was dirty would they not have suspended him after each of his "dirty" hits.

I won't argue that some of his hits arn't marginal.....but come on he is no darcy tucker
