did you have the oil pan off for any specific reason?
have you taken your valve cover off to see if you are missing any rockers? 4/24/2006 11:51:51 AM |

I was taking off the oil pan because the gasket was leaking. I just did the timing belt and a valve adjustment. Didn't really inspect the rockers, but wouldn't the car be running poorly/not at all if the rocker is missing? 4/24/2006 11:54:04 AM |

Curious...how long is that piece? It ain't no fucking rocker arm; I've NEVER seen a Honda rocker arm that looked even remotely like that.
The only thing I can think of that it even remotely approaches is a toggle off of the back of one of those cheap shit nigger oil plugs they put in an oil pan when the original threads are so stripped that a threaded oil plug won't stay in place. Could be the shit-heads at the Jiffy Lube (or other shit-head quick lube place) didn't have the proper 14mm oversize thread-tapping oil plug in stock so they put that piece of shit in it. The next fucker that came along must have accidentally broken the toggle off the back. That's just what I'm thinking. 4/24/2006 6:35:52 PM |

They do, but they are forged, and some have a roller follower (read: VTEC); others have a standard pad. The fulcrum point is at one end, the valve contact pad is at the other. The cam acts in the middle. 4/24/2006 6:45:14 PM |
