I'm working with a local design firm and they are looking to hire on 4 sub-contractors starting in the next month or so.
Pay depends on experience and ranges from 10-20 an hour generally speaking. Applicants need to have experience with interface design, usability and information design.
Software development knowledge is a plus but not at all required, same with graphic design skills.

This job requires knowledge of Use Cases, Information Workflows, Heuristics, Action systems and diagramming, wireframing, etc.
Basically if you took CSC454 (or whatever HCI is called now) and made it through Automata Theory, you are probably alright for an interview.
Also, if you know Visio, that's a big plus
