whoever the registration is printed to, they need to sign it and take that to court.

just go there, if its your first ticket, you have a good chance of getting it dropped. if they wont drop it, ask for a continuance.

i got a ticket a long time ago, had the date circled on the ticket. the da said that if the date was circled, i wasn't an ass to deal with when getting the ticket. my ticket got dropped, so it could've been slightly true.

dunno if any other cops do it, though.

that depends on where you recieved it, if not in wake county go the improper equipment route which replaces the speeding with improper equipment, fee is the same, but no points. That is tha way to go son!

and i can understand that, but there is a time and a place for shit. The Speed Limit is reduced in places for a reason, not generally just for the hell of it.

and i would be willing to bet that people drive fast for no reason at all. Not really to get there faster (they might tell you that, but it doesn't make a difference unless you are driving a long ways) and not really for the thrill of it. Maybe it was for a thrill at one time, but now it is just habit. And others just do it to be cool.

I know one guy who claims to not drive less than a hundred when he is on 440. But he is full of shit. Because unless it is the middle of the night, its often hard to do even 80 because of all the idiots that drive 60 in the left lane.

It's not the detector. The cops will often wait until they see someone they think is speeding, then flip it on. In that situation, NO detector (unless it can tell the future) is going to warn you soon enough. Only if they keep the radar gun on, or you happen to be behind someone else, and they ping them will the detector really help you.

yes, radar can help but will not do it alone. I've been nabbed several times at night when there are no others on the road for him to light up on the radar. If your in traffic use your radar and just watch the traffic in front of you to spot the ones that are using instant on radar.
