...my current plan of spending every weekend either at EI or Wilmington is going to be pretty much shot

at $3.00/gal, it's not quite economic either -- unless like 5 people ride with me

you people whine about the stupidest things.

if your tank is 15 gallons, it means spending an extra $15 everytime you top your car, lets assume every week.

Just drink 3 less beers at the bar and you'll have saved enough money.

I work in Northern Durham County... and live over here by campus. I'm filling up a MINIMUM for 2x week.

The point was, that it takes a whole tank to get there and back (15 x $4.00 = $60). And that's gonna be the expensive part.

I'm taking the week of Memorial Day off to drive down to NC from NYC. I'm gonna go to Raleigh, Wilmington, & Charlotte. I'm not flying b/c I'll need a car to drive around. I was estimating how much money I'll spend on my trip and came up with around $300 in gasoline, using $4.00/gal as my rate.

If you pay for our hotel room I'll pay for the gas.

The only good thing that will come out of these high gas prices is that we'll be forced to look more into other fuel sources.

As much as the high gas prices have been a hardship on my part, I would much rather phase out high gas use and start using another fuel source than have an abrupt elimination of gas supplies that would send everyone panicing and destroy our economy.

I'm not too worried unless gas hits $5 a gallon; at which point I'll sell my honda for a hybrid.

Headin' down to EI on tuesday night ... driving back friday so Miss Maryland can go home to see her mom for mother's day.

State gas tax freeze, reserve release, and splittling it between three girls and never having to pay to stay anywhere in EI (everyone and their mom lives there, Swansboro, or MHC)... this won't be too bad

You dumb monkey. Oil will not go up in price, the government just signed a contract for south american gas a month ago.

[Edited on May 6, 2006 at 7:16 PM. Reason : Now, this says nothing about companies profits]
