How can I reduce the size (and resolution if necessary) of a JPEG so I can put it on myspace (600k)

I've been trying to use this program called Infranview.

windows picture and fax viewer does it, and obviously photoshop

well your first problem is you are using infranview, never heard of it. You should check out http://www.irfanview.com though. That's what I use and it's easy to resize an image.


open image
click on Image
Click on Resize/Resample

Choose your size and save.

I know, and I used to could do that but I've forgotten how w/ paint and picture and fax viewer. I could really use some help with the instructions, I couldn't figure it out from the the "help" thing either... yes I may be a 'tard when it comes to electronics. Thanks for the help though

if you try to post an image that is too large myspace sends you to a link that has instructions on how to make it smaller
