OH MY GOD.

I am SO. DAMN. TIRED. of talking about UNC, how we stack up to UNC, how we do against UNC, our losing records against UNC, how our players are more/less successfull that UNC's, how UNC has a better/worse football/basketball class coming in, how our history is better than/ not as good as UNC's, how much everyone hates UNC, how UNC does/doesn't care about our rivalry.

Yeah, they are in state rivals, when we play it's a big game, etc. etc., That's all cool. But I'm tired of judging everything we do atheletically with UNC's program.

WE ARE NC STATE, WE NEED TO STRIVE TO BE AS GOOD AS WE CAN BE, AS NC STATE.

Whether that is not as good as UNC, or better, it doesn't matter, I'm tired of people comparing us to them. I realize that I'm just gonna have to deal with it, I just wanted to let everyone know how I feel about it.

Would you rather have:

- A bunch of State guys drafted, one or two UNC players drafted, and still have lost to UNC the past two years...

or

- A bunch of UNC guys drafted, one or two State players drafted, and have beaten UNC the past two years.


I'd rather have choice number 2...and I would think most State fans would.

And nobody is diminishing the accomplishments of State during the draft. But we're just asking why idiots like yourself take away from the State celebration by using it as something to compare us to UNC. There is only one true comparison between two opponents...and that is results on the field.

This is what I'm talking about. Would you trade places with UNC for those years? Yes, we lost to an inferior team, that happens to be our rival. Sucks.

But they were an inferior team most of those years, and the records show this. I would gladly lose to UNC every year if you guaranteed me that we would be in a bowl. They could point to the scoreboard all they wanted, we would be able to point to the schedule at that extra game, win or lose, that they most likely don't have.

How sad is it that we had 3 defensive lineman drafted in the first round and the only reason we made a bowl game was that a lot of our wins were jokes?

You can not possibly count last years bowl game as a "victory." In fact, bowl games in general have become so watered down that who really cares if you luck into one beacuse you beat So. Miss, MTSU, and EKU. We had 3 legitimate wins, in my mind we went 3-5.

I love to celebrate our players accomplishments, I just wish they had a few more here then after they leave.
