He failed and wrecked somehow. I think the americans planted the explosion that goes off to kill him. Dont know why they didnt just shoot him.


Maybe detonating that small explosive to kill him was safer than shooting up the car, to make sure no calateral damage

THey used the explosive because they would have had to eventually. They always detonated suspected/known bombs because its safer and smarter than trying to defuse. Why bother shooting him when you can take care of both with one action.
