So I have set up my unity www space and can get access to the files in their individually, but I want to be able to open the main directory folder and have it list the things I have saved there.
Anyone want to help me out and walk me through that to set it up? 5/1/2006 4:42:53 PM |

okay -
the first thing you're going to want to do is make sure the gun is loaded and cocked.
second, you'll want to place the open end of the barrel firmly under your chin, between the jawbones. many people try to do the temple method and end up with a bullet traversing the space between the skull and the brain and out the other side and never achieve the desired result.
at this point you'll do a little soul searching, but trust me it's the right thing to do.
take a deep breath and slowly but smoothly pull the trigger.
at this point the only thing left is to hope that you had been standing or sitting in a way that you'll fall all goofy. oh and make sure you're holding a bag of m&m's or something so the coroner's crew will have something to make the trip worthwhile. 5/1/2006 4:47:12 PM |

Im not sure what you are asking but you'll need WinSCP to do this the easiest way.
http://www.eos.ncsu.edu/software/index.html
^^ Can be found there
You must name your main page index.html you can then link to as many other pages as you want through that central page.
Look at mine

also the best way to do this is to use a program called NVU which is a free webdesign software.

If you have an index.htm, or index.html, or index.php or index.anything file in that folder, then it is going to show up whenever someone visits your website. If you want to see the files in that folder... get rid of your index file. This will force the browser to show you a list of all the files that are in that folder (unless indexing is disabled on the server..which for NCSU I don't think it is). You should then be able to point your browser to that directory and see a list of the files. 5/1/2006 5:23:00 PM |

I've already set it up. I can access pages I have stored there, I just want it to list an index of the files currently in the directory. 5/2/2006 2:53:22 AM |

i'm pretty sure you're not going to be able to do this on your personal ncsu webspace. it's a server configuration that you can't change.
if you want a blog there are plenty of places that will give you one for free, though you shouldn't need directory listing for a blog to work. you probably need some type of scripting language, which you also can't do on your ncsu webspace. 5/2/2006 10:39:13 AM |

I'm not trying to put up a blog there. I have one set up for a class, but the teacher wants us to archive all our links, so I am doing that on my NCSU space.
If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it, just as I appreciate anyone who's posted here without being a dick. 5/2/2006 12:05:25 PM |

Directory listing is turned off on the servers cause lots of bad things were happening (like profs having grades.xls that isn't linked in and thinking no one could see it).
You will not be able to turn it back on.
If they had php or java or something turned on you could drop a script in there to list files. But you cant. Its safer that way. 5/2/2006 10:25:54 PM |
