www.verizonwireless.comhttp://www.sprint.com/personal/wireless/http://www.suncom.com/http://www.alltel.com/It doesn't matter who you choose, you'll always get screwed. I'm with verizon, and they've screwed me a few times already. Charged me twice in one month because I added another line. They are trained to blow you off.A friend used to work for Alltel's customer service told me that his sole job was to blow off people and give BS as much as possible until they gave up. They sat down in a meeting room, and his boss came in with brand new a 30" flat panel plasma TV and said that whoever is able to save the company the most money that month would win the TV.

I have had Cingular for 3+ years, renewed my contract thrice, and never once had an issue.

Has anyone noticed a huge number of dropped calls from Verizon all of a sudden? I've had them for about 4 years now and never had more than 1 or 2 calls dropped. Then about a week ago I was calling Wilmington from Nashville and couldn't talk for more than 20 seconds before it lost the call, and this happened the entire night. In the last few days, I've had several dropped. I just hope this isn't the start of a trend, because I've been very satisfied otherwise

verizon
5/6/2006 3:21:58 PM
verizon has the best coverage of any cell phone company, especially if you travel out of cities and off of main corridors.
5/6/2006 6:04:16 PM
i just wish they were not as expensive as cingular and had rolloverhonestly thats the only thing that makes me not go the verizon route

Right around the time Hurricane Katrina hit, someone used my debit card to buy over $130 in prepaid minutes. I'd asked them to give me the name on the account that made the purchase - this way, if it was someone I knew, I could just get the money back. If I didn't know them, it would be hell to pay. Silly broad at Cingular says she won't give me the info, and transfers me to the prepaid dept. OK fine, right? WRONG. You can't even access the prepaid dept. unless you have a prepaid phone number. Those charges aided in my bank account being over $700 in the hole, but I deferred to the bank and let them take care of it. I eventually won the money back, but it took over 60 days and a lot of headache.
5/6/2006 6:16:50 PM
^^Verizon is cheaper than cingular in every regard. And Rollover is a fucking joke.
5/6/2006 9:16:06 PM
5/6/2006 9:21:28 PM
yeahverizon is trying to switch to all digital and the new phones that they are pushing are all digitalit blowsit was either bluetooth or analog service when i had to get my new phone
5/6/2006 9:24:05 PM
^^^how is rollover a joke?it allows you to buy a minimal plan and pay less, because it's no big deal if you go over sometimes (as long as you don't do it constantly).[Edited on May 6, 2006 at 9:33 PM. Reason : i think AT&T is buying out Cingular and making them go away or something]

If you know someone at sprint you might want to look into the sero program. (http://www.sprint.com/sero) Its by far the best plan I have seen. After calling a few times I was finally able to get someone on the line that had heard of the program. This is what I currently get for 30 a month. * Adjustable Anytime Minutes * AMERICA - ROAMING Included * Nationwide Long Distance Included * Unlimited Night & Weekend Mins. Included * Nights: M-Th 9PM-7AM Wknd: F 9PM-M 7AM * Unlimited Vision Access * Unlimited Mobile to Mobile * Caller ID, Call Waiting * Three-way Calling * Voicemail
