if you google for the TI-89 manual, it's pretty explicit in how to do it.
from what i remember, DSolve completely saved my ass on chukwu's exams.
something like DSolve(y''+y'+5*y=0,y,someinitialconditionformat)

keep trying variations on dsolve(y''=0,y,x)
it complains "Error: Argument error"

Hey, thanks. The independent variable goes first,
deSolve(y''=0,t,y)
but I tried this before, problem was the memory had the t or y defined by something else I'd done before so it made deSolve unhappy. 5/7/2006 6:40:20 PM |
