on my transcript it rounds up to 3.500

so this means i'm golden for magna cumme laude or am i fucked?

^^if you've not picked up you've stuff yet, they've a book with your GPA (not including this semester) and whether you graduate w/ honors and which sash. If the book says one thing, but your GPA has now changed, you need to get a letter from advisor/department head and give it to the people handing out the stuff. I don't know if you care, but just thought I'd let you know!

thanks guys, i was on that before i took exams. had to get a letter b/c my gpa before this semester was 3.485 and i knew i'd do well so my advisor hooked it up... and i proved her right

so they are letting me walk this semester. but i have to complete 6 hours in the fall, which is enough to bump be above 3.25 if i get good enough grades.

They use your last semester's GPA to determine whether you wear a sash. Academic apparel is available the week before exams so they can't possibly know what you got -this- semester.

If you look up the academic policy on GPAs, it's calculated to three decimal places for these things. So I guess that means you round to three decimal places...and that puts you at 3.500 . Whew.
