I have an 86 VW golf (gas)... its seen better days, and won't pass inspection without a new muffler... but it runs and would be perfect for what you want it for... $500

30+... if you drop the clutch from 3-4k EVERY time you take off (small issue that has been temporarily fixed) and drive the ever living piss out of it it will get 22.5...

it is a WHOLE lot of fun to drive... I'm going to make a seperate thread on it in a minute.

I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX 4 door 188,000 miles but still running great. Fill up with about 12-13 gallons each time and get 400 miles to a tank. Automatic transmission and over 50% left on tires. All electrical locks and windows work correctly. No known mechanical problems, and no noticable scratches or damage on the exterior. KBB private party is $3000 and dealer price is $4800. Was just getting ready to list it on autotrader/craig's list for $2500. Let me know if interested and you can come check it out. I live in Clayton but can meet you somewhere in between.
