Hey guys,
Are any of you guys going to be up in New York City for the summer? I'll be interning from June - August and staying in Brooklyn Heights. I was up last summer and had a BLAST...just wondering if there will be anyone else staying in the city from NC State and the triangle area? Where are you working and where are you partying? haha
Thanks, Jon 5/15/2006 8:47:59 PM |

is that right around the NYU area? I remember going to Red Lion, 1849, Back Fence, Off the Wagon, and a couple other places right on Bleeker (I think/hope it was Bleeker) =) 5/15/2006 11:57:09 PM |

^I've only been to Off the Wagon (from your list there). i tend to go to more places that have live music rather than straight-up bars. Brooklyn Heights is nice!

yeah, Brooklyn Heights is such a nice place to live. I actually live right on top of the 2/3 red line as well as a liquor store and across from a grocery store. Not too bad for location.
Off the Wagon is a fun place with some nice local acts. I agree, the live music scene in NYC is everywhere, and one of my goals for the summer is to see a few more bands play.
Anyone else up in the city for the summer?! 5/16/2006 1:24:31 PM |

ZiP and myself live in NYC, in Astoria as it would be. However I'll be moving into Manhattan in less than 2 months.
I practically live there. Definitely one of my favorite bars!5/16/2006 1:57:31 PM |
