I'm going to start playing golf again, at least once a week before I move in late July. Since I hate playing alone, I wanted to see if anyone would be interested, or is looking for someone to fill out a foursome.

I'm a bit rusty, but used to play to an 8 handicap. I'd like to play a bunch of different courses, probably around lunch time during the week. In fact, I'm probably going to try to get out tomorrow.

Any interest, let me know, skill level not important.

I played at Raliegh Golf Associates a few times, the kicker was that I was consistantly hitting the longest drives of my life... a few days after I'd had an old-school appendectomy.

I went for a recheck and they asked how I was doing....

I said "Great! I just played the best round of golf in my life!"

Dr. "Great. So you chose the most abdominable stressing sport and jumped in."
"Well they always told me to "swing sweet," not to try to use my strength on the ball but rather to use hip control (like in wrestling and football) to initiate the power.

I healed strong, but it double-emphasized how important it is to "swing sweet," not with all the stregth you have.

Eagle Ridge is probably the nicest course in my opinion, i love the GPS on the golf carts, RGA just seems to play short to me sometimes, if you dont mind about a 20,30 min drive, River Ridge and Riverwood out around the Clayton area arn't too bad either

Watch www.lastminutegolfer.com, they have good under-around $20 specials.

My game showed its rust today, fought my swing the whole time. Eagle Ridge was in decent shape considering the recent weather. Still only $29 to ride, and only took 3 hours to play with 1 other guy.
