i bought the usb hookup for my razr to try and get the pictures i took onto my computer

i installed the software and everything but i cant find out how to get the pics off

help??

you have keep updating the Motorola Phone Tools software, I had to update about 4 times before it would correctly recognize my Razr V3c, but after that it works great to transfer pics from the phone, and MP3s for ringtones to the phone

go to motomodders.net or howardforums.com and search for what you're looking for. If you are still having trouble (i.e. if you didn't try hard enough to find the answer on your own) post a message there. They are MUCH more likely to hold your hand there than TWW is.

what version of the Motorola Phone Tools software have you got now that you've updated? After I updated mine, I think I had to go back in and re-create a new phone profile or some nonesense, and then plug in my phone when it told me. Once I get home I'll try to post some better info, but I dont have the software installed at work.

Oh, I also used the regular USB cable for my digital camera

have they figured out how to unlock the verizon razr's so you can pull pictures off via bluetooth?

i may possibly upgrade in the next couple of months, thanks to the v710 lawsuit settlement

Ok, my Motorola Phone Tools Software is updated to "Version 4.0.4b 12-01-2005 (051114006185)", and once I had it updated that much I had to create a new profile for my phone before it would recognize it.

I've also got a Motorola Razr V3c from Alltel, i'm not sure if other carriers' phones work correctly with the the MPT software.

You'll have to download the USB driver first so your computer will recognize the Razor. You can find that on the motomodders board. Once you have that driver PhoneTools should work without any problems.

anyone know how a way around purchasing the 59$ a month laptop connection package for cingular? I got the unlimited media net deal (unlimited internet, ONLY on the damn phone), thinking I could somehow hook my computer up and get net access, but it didn't work.
Called tech support and he said I needed the laptop connection package.. apparently unlimited internet can mean two different things..
