I'm not saying I want to run out theDuke866, but in the event that he steps down or ceases to be Soap Box moderator, I submit myself as a candidate for SB moderator.

If you're tired of trolls like Woodfoot, JonHGuth, abonorio, and 30thAnnz degrading the SB to chit chat level with their constant trolling, spamming, and posting of cheese thread type nonsense, then consider me for SB mod.

If given the job as SB mod, I pledge to do my best to clean up the SB by suspending and sending the message to these trolls that their spamming and trolling will not be tolerated. And unlike others who would like to be SB mod, I'm not in favor of banning users and engaging in viewpoint censorship.

And, finally, this is completely serious. I think I would do a fine job as SB moderator.

Ugh... there are two possible situations in play here:

1) You're an idiot, and I'm about to spell this out for you nice and slow.
2) I'm an idiot and falling for an obvious troll.

I'll select #1 and risk the danger of #2, oh well.

The site is here for an expressed purpose. Many people who have used the site for a number of years especially appreciate some subsections of the site that are tailored to their interests. The soap box is one of these subsections, aimed at political, social, philosophical, religious, etc commentary and discourse. When a user is making the section undesirable for anybody to go near/enjoy/use, then there's a serious problem with the moderation. When that same user has almost squeezed the entire userbase out of the subforum, then there's a gigantic problem.

The site is here for entertainment purposes, mostly. Why does that trivialize it, then, when trying to stop somebody who puts practically a HALT on one of those services?
