I'm trying to connect my Xbox (NOT 360) to Live using a crossover cable connected to my laptop which is connected to a wireless internet connection. I've looked online and tried to make it work, but I'm not finding anything. Does anybody know how to set it up?

Instead of a crossover cable, you can just use two regular cables with a router in between.

internet share the wireless network card in your computer and bridge the Ethernet NIC card with the wireless card.

The latency you'd experience won't even be worth the trouble of setting that up. just get a wireless Xbox adapter off ebay.

^^^Agreed. (quoted person)>I'm also 100% sure you're a fucking troll who doesn't know a network connection from a fucking hole in his head. The guy asked a simple question. Flaming is not required here.

I've actually done that before. Just set up a network bridge with ICS to your wireless adapter. It's hardly efficient, but it is functional. That's how I set up live on a friend's 360 when he first got it b/c there was only a wireless connection in the apartment.

FUCK! okay, I looked up how to set up ICS through my laptop, but I keep getting the message:

"An error occured while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled.

Internet Connection Sharing cannot be enabled.
A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address
that is required for automatic IP addressing."

Wtf is my computer talking about? Is there anyway to make it work?
