why do they have to fuck up my town even more?
While I am on the Lacrosse players side's, this just stinks more than that nasty stripper's vag. They're only making an example of him because he played lacrosse at Duke. Otherwise, he'd be like any other college student, or other person, for that matter.

ETA: still, this was a dumb thing to do.
drinking + driving = you're fucked because you're either a) dead or b) pulled over.

no, because it was a terrible fucking idea.

this whole getting pulled is just a stunt by Nifong. He has bribed the police in the triangle to follow Duke LAX players everywhere and smear their image. He should be disbarred. I heard from a firend that the layer was actually in Raleigh at the time so there is no way he could have been driving in CHapel Hill. Plus I know that guy and he doesnt drink so Nifong made all this up. Free LAX!

I think the legal limit should be .1, not .08, but other than that, drinking and driving is naughty. However, you haven't presented all the possiblities.

More likely than not, drunk drivers are going to make it home and crawl into their beds, and nothing will come of it.

But the whole "you might be dead" argument doesn't sit well with me. Many habitual drunk drivers don't care about their lives or the lives of others. Here's the worst scenario I can think of...

You drive drunk. You get in an accident and kill a family four. You feel guilty for the rest of your life but you can't even kill yourself because you were paralyzed in the accident and have no feeling from the neck down.

Now that would suck.
