*sigh*

what burning software do you use? just write it as a data cd (not music or anything) and then you're golden

Man I don't know what to tell ya other than you need a decicated burning program (like Nero, toast, etc.)

There are less that legit ways to get Nero and it works like a champ...

you could just ask some friend that lives close by to come over to help you step by step. probably a little faster then through the message board. have you burn other stuff before and had no problems?

insert blank cd
window pops up. pick "open writable cd folder using windows explorer"
drag and drop files into the cd folder using windows explorer
click on "write these files to cd"
(on the left side of the windows explorer window under "cd writing tasks")
follow the wizard
eject cd

insert data cd
window pops up. pick "open folder to view files using windows explorer"

done that dude. not working. that's why i am posting here. after i write the files to the cd and then put the cd back in, i try to open the files for viewing and it opens the cd drive folder but there's nothing there. it may just be my computer, since all of you are saying the same thing and that's what i have done, to no avail.
thanks for the help tho.

Try a different disc. What brand of computer do you have? I thought all PCs that came with a burner would have software for burning, unless it was a custom job. Maybe you have other software installed already. Look for something called Roxio, Sonic, or Ahead Nero. I never liked using Windows Explorer to write files to a CD.

My Vaio came with a program called "Drag'n Drop CD+DVD"

Just open that program, right click on "Data", click on "Edit Layout". Drag and drop the picture files into the layout menu, and click on the "Write" button when you're done.

Can you open the pictures before you copy them to a CD? Find out what Sony's software for burning CDs and use it.

that is weird if you can do word documents and music files but not pictures. You are doing the same thing to pictures right? What kind of picture files are these (JPEG, GIF, or something that needs a program to open?...)
