asking (negotiable):
$what i owe (as is) ~13k
$more (w/ new clutch/pp/tob/slave cyl)

clutch has been slipping and will need a new one. ~$250 for parts. i could help change it or ~$425 for labor at a shop.

VIN 9BWDH61J334075153
clear carfax (can forward)

'03 vr6 gti
'03 wolfie front end
reflex silver
~55k miles
24v vr6
6-speed (o2m)
climatronic

double DIN monsoon w/ amp

mods:

GIAC 93 octane chip
R32 short shifter

add'l info:
i kept a comp. book that i recorded all services/mods and date/mileage
recent oil analysis shows the engine is in excellent condition
all service is up-to-date

the good:
* solid car that makes good power (just shy of 200whp/200wtq)
* only used synthetic oil since new
* excellent condition (and damn sexy)
* recently replaced brake pads & rear rotors
* all service records

the bad:
* drivers door microswitch is acting up. probably just needs to be re-soldered (info available upon request)
* missing treble/balance knob on the double DIN monsoon
* clutch has been acting funny lately

the rabbit is the name for the MK1 (thru '84 model year) golf/GTI. it was called a golf everywhere except north america. so, yes, it is essentially what the rabbit evolved into.

it's a 2003 golf gti with a 2.8L 24-valve VR6. (hatchback)

ideally wouldn't you want to never let the person know what you owe on the car

yeah i have the rear headrests.. i have all the stock parts that come with the car except the exhaust (suspension stuff, airbox, engine cover trim piece, headrests, etc)

i really dont care if ppl know what i owe.. i tried to make money and it didnt work. i just want to be rid of a car payment at this point. it will need a clutch soon (as stated in the orig. post), but is still drivable for now.

if you really wanna take over payments, pm me.

[Edited on June 8, 2006 at 8:03 AM. Reason : i'm not gonna lose money on it.. 8900 ain't gonna get it.]

actually, no. the slave cyl. started leaking. for the 6-speed, it's inside the tranny bellhousing and i'm suspecting the leaking fluid killed the clutch disc.

[Edited on June 8, 2006 at 9:50 AM. Reason : but thanks for trying to imply i beat on my shit.. this car is well taken care of..]

the chip gave me maybe 7whp.
R32 ss was just to shorten up the throw a little.. it's still an OEM piece.. it's maybe 15% shorter, not like a lot of the stuff out there.
how is suspension gonna mess up a clutch? i wanted to lower the car a little.. it looks good.
intake + exhaust are mostly for noise (and it sounds good, not too loud either).. but the exhaust did add a little power.

it's not like i added no-name springs, a crappy ebay chip and a cone filter on the maf.

[Edited on June 8, 2006 at 10:08 AM. Reason : i explained the clutch situation.. get over it.]

here's pictoral proof that there was hydraulic fluid on the clutch, which is being replaced.
