So my old one got stolen, and I am thinking if I should invest in the new Pioneer model with the color screen and stuff...

Anyone got any reviews on it?

the Inno is getting great reviews. if you want something smaller, the roady XT isn't bad either.

I would prefer something that I can carry or sleep with...I had a MyFi, but it's no longer on Best Buy's website.

If you still have your subscription, call XM and tell them you want a new receiver. I opted to get the Commander for $100 off, but I think the MyFi is $150 off and others like the RoadyXT is only $50 off. I don't remember if the Pioneer is on their special pricing list or not, but definately don't pay full price if you don't have to. XM is still operating at a big loss trying to build and keep its supplier base, so they have some sweet deals. They gave my brother a free RoadyXT with the condition that he keeps it as a second radio on my account for 6 months.

wtf

I called the support biyotch and she cancelled my account even though I had paid for a year in advance...she said I couldn't keep my online account either cuz both are linked and that I would have to pay again to get service after I get a replacement.

Yea Shaggy don't be a fag. The S50 is ghey.

Which would I rather have? Something I can listen to prerecorded crap when its not in my car, or one that can play live while I'm walking or working out and in the car AND record shit off the satellite feed live while I'm working out. Or Gargs could get the S50 and listen to live shit in his car.

BTW The Inno is like 1/3rd the size of the s50. And yes it really does play live not on the cradle. kkthx

Call back and ask to speak to someone in the retention department. Explain how your account was canceled, threaten to switch to Sirius, and see what type of deals they throw at you. They have all kinds of special pricing they can give you if you talk to the right person. To get $100 off my new radio, all I did was call up and say that my old radio didn't work in my new car, and I couldn't really afford to replace it, and they read me a standard price list to buy a new one through them. It shouldn't be too difficult.

if they were in india, would they be required to speak to you in English, or can you speak another common language to each other?

i have the skyfi2, and i love it. i think i read that they've suspended the sales on it pending the RIAA bullshit recording lawsuit

well, I thought all of XM's units had recording capabilities...I loved my MyFi, but the fucker stole it from my car.

It's reported as stolen now, so no one gets to use it.

And, the reps have to speak in English, and that's because they are being paid to sort out issues for a global company, not have banter with me in the local dialect.
