I owe the library money, so can I pay it after graduation if/when I can get a steady income going? Or are they gonna be like public high school and make you pay your dues in order to graduate?

i checked out a bunch of shit, and didnt turn it in till they started sending me mail

and i got some emails from the ppl who stay in the UT room i used to, cause they called them

They charge $125 per book after like 60 days. And I have more than two overdue.

I'll try to appeal, and talk about how I've been on extension by one prof, and tried to renew via Internet but wasn't allowed to after I had done so already. I guess I just like having 1920's Germany lit around me too much.

The following rules and procedures apply to overdue and unreturned library materials.

* Daily fines for most overdue materials are not assessed.
* Books that have not been returned or renewed by 10 days past their due dates are treated as "lost" and bills are issued for them.
* The amount billed is $100 (default) for replacement plus a standard $25 processing cost per item.
* For books that are not returned or renewed by 60 days past their due dates, the processing costs are still owed, even if the books are later returned.
* For books that are lost, actual replacement costs are calculated at the time of payment or upon request; the processing cost remains at $25 per book.
* Library borrowing privileges are suspended for accounts that have books more than 60 days overdue or unpaid balances.
* An Appeals Committee appointed by the University Library Committee considers cases that involve extraordinary circumstances. See Petition/Appeal Process.
* Fines for recalled items are $3.00 per day (maximum $150.00). Fines for reserve materials are $2.00 per hour (2 hour reserves) and $.50 per day (3 day reserves), and for laptop computers, $10.00 per 1/2 hour.
* Renewal limits are as follows:
o NCSU Undergraduates - one renewal
o NCSU Graduate Students- two renewals
o NCSU Faculty - no limit
o Cooperating Raleigh Colleges - no renewals
o All other borrowers - one renewal

You can renew books in person as many times as you want as long as there aren't any holds placed on the book. As long as you can prove you haven't lost it renewing in person is the same as turning it back in, getting it back out of the stacks and checking it out again.
