Made an illegal U-Turn to avoid a checkpoint. Should have just turned on a side street or something.. less obvious..

V that is pretty dumb though. He should have gone through the checkpoint.. I bet he would've gotten through it easily..

its very possible to know you've legally had too much, and still think you are fine to drive. if he honestly thought there was no way he was above the limit, then he would have just gone through the check point.

My point is that most people don't know what 0.08, 0.10, or 0.14 means until they've had one.
Even if you've had several tests, gauging your own BAC is difficult.
Of course no one should drive if they've been drinking, but that isn't the law.
