i thought i made the cd perfect when i selected to boot from cd in the bios
it did nothing just had a cursor blank and sat there

If you're not functional enough to properly burn a cd, there's no way in hell that you need to be using dban.
If all you want to do is format your computer like you posted in the other thread that got locked then follow the instructions given to you there. Put your windows cd in the drive and reboot. Follow the onscreen directions. It's really that simple. 6/14/2006 12:55:43 AM |

^ Agreed. I didn't read that thread closely enough ... you said "wipe" and I instantly thought "DoD wipe". If you need to format/reinstall ... get the CDs/CD Key/Documentation that came with your computer and follow the directions. Call technical support if you still have a warranty/service plan with them.

alright well when i used the installation cd it goes through the whole setup and says all the files will be erased
