I am a little confused on this one, they want academic and professional, does that mean from your employeer or someone (not a professor) but in your field of study.

To me, academic = get a professor to reccomend you.

Professional = Get a previous boss or supervisor to give you a letter of recommendation.

-1 person to vouch for your character (personal)
-1 person to vouch for your intelligence (academic)
-1 person to vouch for your competence (professional)

You CAN combine two/all three into a single letter if somebody knows you really well. The professional person can be your academic/honors research professor, so long as you did something both you and the professor agree that was good

My GRE teacher wasn't even clear.

and gargs for some reason I think I have a better belonging in grad school than you do, you may as well go back to India for that one.
