I don't know, I went to lowes and they didn't have any bigger then like normal hammer size, I would assume home depot would be about the same. 6/18/2006 11:57:16 PM |

perhaps. id imagine that is because anything you want to hit with a rubber end doesnt need a 3ft hammer swing to it. defeats the purpose save for carnival fun. 6/18/2006 11:58:02 PM |

Something like that, preferably with a rounded hammer end and maybe even a bit longer.

what would you want that for?
either way what you're looking for is called a "maul".
V the hammer is going to be the trophy?

^ yeah, you can get a 36" handle for less than $10, then just take a rubber head off of a shorter handle 6/19/2006 12:12:38 AM |

Mauls can also be a sledgehammer on one end of the head and a wedge on the other end. Splitting maul are generally not rubber for obvious reasons.6/19/2006 10:02:52 AM |

^ that's correct, and they can also have a wooden head. The splitter is what you would find at most places around here. So if you still end up looking to buy one specifically ask for a "rubber headed maul" 6/19/2006 12:00:24 PM |
