And, I hope every corrections officer involved gets 25+ years in prison. Abuse like this happens in prisons all over the country, but this seems especially deplorable. I don't want to think about how hopeless and helpless some of those inmates must have felt to know that they literally had no recourse.

God, I hate shit like this. It makes me uneasy to know that there are people in power out there who are abusing their power, and there's nothing we can do stop it.

How dumb are these people that arrested the guards? Did no one think, "Hey, maybe we should arrest these guys at home when they aren't carrying loaded firearms!" I bet some idiot thought it would be good media exposure to have them all arrested together at the prison.

So many more important things than this. I'm sure this happens in male prisons all the time (both among the inmates and the guards) and there is no news coverage of it, but because they were females "OMG, its so horrible!!!!!"

^I didn't actually read the article, but to a certain extent, I could give a shit what happens to the inmates in prison. I think the "shit that goes on in prison" is a good part of their punishment. But that's just me.

Ahhh...just browsed through the article. Female inmates eh?? That's worse. Yeah, they should try and prevent that.

Male prison guards having sex (forceable or otherwise) with female inmates in AMERICAN prisons is VERY COMMON, a lot more common than most people know.

Hell, the American public is more or less unaware that such things even happen, on account of the fact that 90% of their days are spent paying bills, cutting out wal-mart coupons, and taking little john and jill to football and piano practice.

I posted an Amnesty International (or maybe it was Human Rights Watch) detailed study with harrowing personal accounts about this in the SB when I joined TWW, but I don't think it is there anymore.

Of course, Bush is happy bombing the f*** out of poor nations and killing tens of thousands of innocents trying to bring "justice" and "democracy" to the uncivilized cavepeople, but only if American people knew of the vast corruption, immorality, and conspiracies in their own Government and corporations....

Hopefully one day, the American public, by and large, will not be ignorant, will stand up, and throw all the mainstream politicians into wells and rivers. And then, only then, can America become a truly just and great country, and MAYBE then, it can start helping downtrodden people around the world, and BE RESPECTED when it does.

My feelings on this matter have nothing to do with the fact that these inmates were women.

And you're fucking right this is horrible. By the way, I never mentioned that these inmates were women, and I did admit that I realize this goes on in other prisons:
