5^ No. 3rd in 1999 is the best finish for the men.
Women won in 1979 and 1980. It was the AIAW at the time, but that was before the NCAA incorporated women (or at least women's xc), so it's essentially the same thing.

kinda have to go through school by school, but it's the quickest way I know of. only sanctioned NCAA championships are recognized - no AIAW or BCS or football or any of that stuff.
