I set the swap file to way too big and I need to make it smaller. I think I need to use parted to resize it so I tried that, and get told that the device is in use. So I tried to unmount the swap partition to make the resize work, and get told that the device is not mounted. Where am I going wrong here? I want to make the swap file maybe 500MB instead of the 20 some odd Gigabytes it is now.
