I have a banjo my parents got me as a gift and I want to really learn how to start playing it. I got some books but I'd think this would work better if I could get some initial stuff from someone who has been doing it for a while so I don't get stuck in a rut. Just in free time or whatever, and I'm willing to pay an hourly rate.

If not, know a good person who'd have lessons around Raleigh/Cary?

Are you planning on learning 3-finger, claw, tenor, or what?
