anyone know what the total rainfall amount for June is in Wake County? Is there a good site for this? I checked WRAL, weatherunderground and weather.com and am fully willing to admit I am retarded because I couldnt find the info.

thanks for the reply.
I have to say, I am surprised at that number. I really thought it would be higher considering we got over 7in with alberto. And the rain this past friday was crazy heavy. 6/27/2006 1:45:38 PM |

that number is rainfall at the airport which only received about 5.5 inches from alberto
the 7.6 inch number came from the national weather service on centennial campus 6/27/2006 1:46:55 PM |

rainfall amounts are not dependent on how severe a tropical system is. It almost always depends on how slowly the storm is moving, if its moving at all (Floyd anyone?) This system dropped a lot of rain there b/c its movement was stalled by a high pressure system (I'm starting to go out of my league here)
