don gatos is closed down RIP there is a new bar in that location, i've heard good things about it

Mama kwans is a fun place w/ really good food, spent 21st there

i would have to say outer banks brewing station is my fav- they have awesome food and beer and a great atmosphere

Kill Devil Hills- Outer Banks Brewing Station and Tortugas Lie
Nags Head- Kelly's
Ocracoke- Howard's

those are the best nightlife places, you can go sit and drink overpriced beers anywhere but these are where the people are. I would say Quagmire's, but I heard it sold and is turning into more 20 bedroom single family homes.

If you aren't going to travel ALL THE WAY to Ocracoke then Froggy Dogg in Avon is OK, it used to be a lot better before the new ownership, have only been once since.
