IIRC, that song was originally made by Dolly Parton before the movie was ever made.
"I Believe I Can Fly" was seriously overplayed (they sang that song at freshman orientation at A&T), but it's still pretty good.

Indeed. Written, recorded, and published by Dolly Parton, so she made $texas when Whitney covered it.
