john williams was pretty much just a plagiarizer until a few years ago. i did like his score for AI.
my vote is for royal tenenbaums or maybe magnolia.
a lot of hitchcock's movies have some good and memorable scores too. 6/30/2006 3:34:13 PM |

The correct answer is Last of the Mohicans. 6/30/2006 3:41:15 PM |

yeah T-2 was good, so was Last of the Mohicans ( I think I like the music better than the movie). Hell I think the score for Braveheart was excellent, so was Amelie.

Ahaha John Williams will likely pwn this thread.
Though I will give shoutouts to Gladiators composer Hans Zimmer or the trio of Iva Davies, Christopher Gordon, and Richard Tognetti who did the music for Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World. One terrible movie with a pretty good soundtrack is Waterworld. The movie had to be god-awful, but James Newton Howard wrote several very catchy tunes in there.
Oh shit forgot Lord of the Rings and I loved the Jurassic Park score by John Williams.

Most of Hans Zimmer's work, Last of the Mohicans, RFAD
I still contend that Chrono Cross is the best soundtrack for any movie/game/tv/book on tape/etc. 7/2/2006 2:38:44 PM |
