This stuff is basically mil-spec ammo, bullets aside. If you want what the Russians use, I guess you would go for FMJ instead.

the only problem with steel core is they won't let you shoot at indoor ranges with it, otherwise its great if have some land somewhere or go to an outdoor range

I think so. I didn't pull the bullets, but the a complete round will stick by the bullet to magnets.
