I wanted a JASJAR I-mate, but the cheapest I could find them for was $850, so I got the cingular 8125 instead.

It's pretty badass for the price ($279) and fits my needs well. I wanted something phone sized, with full pda functionality (touch screen), running windows mobile, and this had all of that and more for the cheapest. I like it a lot so far but I've got 2 issues with it. I can't find any good snes, gba, or genesis emulators that support WM5 and since I don't use outlook (I use thunderbird and lightning) I'm not sure how to make my contacts, appointments, etc work with the alerts/icons on the "dash."

Anyone else have one of these phones? Or a perhaps a pda/phone with WM5?

I tried using Thunderbird sometime back, but it was always very hard to integrate it with the rest of the Office suite.

outlook rocks

yeah, I don't really use office either. word is nice I guess, but I get the same usage from open office as well. thunderbird has far superior junk filtering, compatibility, and stability though, and thats why I won't go back to outlook for anything more than a contact/apointment management system so I can sync it with my phone

I use Outlook 2003, and it automatically deletes all my spam.

I'd say the efficiency is a tad bit lesser than lets say gmail's, but it's still pretty good.

so.. office suite preferences aside, anyone have one of these phones? I've got the snes emulator on it running, but it's compiled for an intel chip, and not arm

ARM was an Intel chip until a few months back...

it's compiled for the intel XScale 400mhz, which, while arm complient, has a ton of optimizations that my processor doesnt, thus horrid performance

I just got a PPC-6700 last month and love it, aside from the high pricetag That hurt...but the functionality is awesome.
