Just developed an issue with my wireless controller. the lights on the front have started flashing at me. Normally quad 1 is lit to indicate that I am connected as player 1 and thats all. however, starting a few days ago, the lights started flashing. quad 1 and 4 are lit, then quad 2 and 3. all green. but annoying as hell. I have resynced the controller, the battery is fully charged (and took it out and replaced it), and it seems to be working fine.
Anybody have any idea what is up and how to stop it?

could be that the battery is dying. Sometimes the charge indicator on the dashboard doesn't display the correct charge. I suggest plugging in the battery for some hours. 7/17/2006 1:45:35 PM |

thats the low-bat indicator. if it is fully charged i guess it is fucked up, but otherwise the charge detection in the dashboard is screwy, as already noted. 7/17/2006 2:11:16 PM |

on a seperate note, i've replaced my batteries 2x in maybe 4-5 months of playing (hard sometimes, less others). i'd have to play for like 3yrs with my 1 controller to break even with just using standard AA batteries. 7/17/2006 4:53:46 PM |

i guess if you played a lot of local multiplayer the chargekits would be worth it. 7/17/2006 5:07:48 PM |

It's listed as up to 25 hours of battery life. I actually think it's more from my experience. I would not recommend to ANY gamer to get their little play n charge kit when you can get rechargeable batteries that you can use not only for your 360 but your digital camera and anything else you might have. 7/19/2006 2:26:28 PM |

ah ha but what if all your batteries are dead and youre in the middle of the game? you could have the charge kit and plug right into it and charge and continue like youre playing with a corded controller 7/19/2006 3:58:03 PM |

Well I have 4 batteries so I just get the other 2, which are either going to be in the charger or in my digital camera, and stick the dead ones in the charger. It really is the smarter choice, even if you don't have a second item to use those batteries, at some point you might. Play and charge will only work on 360; rechargeable batteries will work on everything that takes AA batteries, including your camera, maybe the PS3 or Wii controller, etc etc. 7/19/2006 4:12:52 PM |
