That's been the case for the last 3 or 4 years...And we've already seen Huff get traded... Wait till they trade Crawford... Im a big Durham Bulls fan so I keep an eye on Tampa but they are nothing more than a MLB farm team.. Hate to say it. As long as they are in the same division as the yanquis and Red Sox they will never be a contender.7/20/2006 5:02:29 PM |

i like em, but i dont follow em or anything. i've been to 2 professional baseball games. 1 was marlins vs pirates, and the other was marlins vs rays, that one in tampa. its such an odd ballpark, but it was fun. 7/20/2006 5:53:59 PM |

No they aren't. They are the worst run organization in baseball. They CAN compete but they won't even spend money on pitchers for ONE YEAR! They have no pitching outside of Kazmir to speak of. They won't sign but 1 or 2 players longterm (Baldelli being one) and rarely hold players through their arbitration years. If they didn't deal with a braindead GM in 2004 they'd have literally NO pitching.
Until they actually trade for some pitching and sign a real pitcher they are going nowhere. They sure ain't showing any signs of being able to do that trading Hendrickson for Seo (who has SUCKED as a starter this year).7/20/2006 6:12:24 PM |
