I was fairly skeptical, but yeah, there's no substitute for a V1. I couldn't imagine driving without it anymore. I'm hardwiring every car I get my hands on... And your car was very well pre-wired for a V1 Buy direct from V1, it IS worth the $400. Ahmet 7/25/2006 12:36:31 AM |

well, the V1 is still better than the 8500 (though more expensive)
and maybe i'm dreaming, but i thought something just came out that was better than it or the 8500 7/25/2006 2:36:00 PM |

I've said it once, and I'll say it again... "Once you live with the arrows, you'll wonder how you ever did it without them..."
I'd go thru the manufacturer... Plus some of the ones on ebay, aren't the most current model.. (you can verify this at V1's website if you have the serial number from the detector...) You get a warantee, and took me about 5 business days to get mine in the mail. The thing does work like a charm.
Aye, my vehicle is also hardwired for a v1, and has successfully warned me 4 times out of 5 within the last 5 months... (the 1 time it didn't catch was because the cop was coming from the other direction, and hit the car in front of me with an instant on laser JUST as we passed by... cop was too close when he locked in his lazer and the car in front of me absorbed it all, hence i didn't get a signal... He did a u-turn and pulled me, thinking he clocked me, however I didn't get a ticket, but still... ) 7/25/2006 10:50:52 PM |

Mine's saved me from a ticket in pretty crazy situations, once w/a passport owning friend, who promptly decided to order himself one...
I've received one ticket with it, I was ignoring the constant pops in K band in South Carolina, driving through traffic at around 90mph. It did get dropped however, thankfully. Ahmet <--do as I say, not as I do. 7/26/2006 2:04:20 AM |
