I'm trying to find some 3D CAD software that would fall under the categories of freeware or inexpensive. I've been trying to play with a program called freecad 8 and Alibre Design. FreeCAD not so good. Alibre Design is similar to SolidWorks, however to full version is $999. What are some prices/names of programs that you guys have used? 7/28/2006 6:26:26 AM |

bunch of free software there, several CAD programs. You also may want to consider trying to buy an older version of AutoCad, Solidworks, etc. from someone. 7/28/2006 10:00:47 PM |

I'm really looking for something that would export to a .STL file format. My target price is $150 or less. 7/29/2006 3:01:18 PM |

FYI, Alibre Xpress would have to be the best free 3D Modeling software out there. I have been playing with it and it seems to work fairly well. Give it a look if you are interested in some CAD software that you don't have to drop any cash on! 7/30/2006 5:14:00 PM |
