I thought this meant that illegal immigrants were feeding the homeless in Las Vegas.

many cities have similar ordinances because feeding the homeless in parks causes them to congregate there and can lead to sanitary concerns for obvious reasons.

I bet there are no homeless shelters or soup kitchens in Las Vegas.

And I'm having trouble finding a list, I admit I was just accepting what one of the articles in your link told me.

well, if no one is feeding them, I highly doubt that they would stay there and starve to death

This ordinance will also help bring more homeless to the existing social services. Im sure some of the soup kitchens would love it if they people getting mad would go down and help out.

well i dont care if the consequences are good/bad -- the law is unconstitutional

you have the liberty to give away nearly anything.....money, food, sex....whatever.....you can even give stuff away that you cant legally charge for, like fucking.

Its no more "unconstitutional" than dozens of city ordinances.

i'm not a big fan of homeless people

i'm not a big fan of giving them money

but to make it illegal to not give them food?

... that's just wrong

also this law makes it illegal to feed homelss... in city parks

It was needed to stop the Sunday feed fests and encourage the homeless to seek existing social services.

So does this mean that a guy selling hotdogs can't sell a hotdog to a homeless guy?

i know of an easy way to get around the law

you simply trade your food for something the homeless person has

like lint ....

how bout you just give him some fucking food because the chances of some cop running up and saying "i'm arresting you for feeding a homeless person" are very slim

i mean i'm not saying i'd do that(i dont help out bums, if bums want help, they can help themselves), but i dont think it should be a crime for someone else to

actually i am pretty soft on crime...i think drug use in ones home should not be illegal either

and the government should supply all its citizens with cable so you cant be accused of stealing it...i think seat belt laws are unconstitutional also

Las Vegas buses the homeless out to other towns. I believe they fund some homeless services there. They will allow some homeless to stay with a permit and beg.

I don't really like this law. Until there is an overwhelming of homeless people in the parks that is actually causing health concerns, safety concerns, whatever, I think people ought to be able to feed the homeless on public grounds.

So stop saying its the conservatives that want this you fuckhead.

^^There was, thats exactly why they needed this. They aren't trying to stop Joe Citizen from helping out a homeless guy, they are trying to stop the people coming out and feeding lots of people which causes problems. Jesus
