Oh I know - the one I have now - about 28" square - cost me over 100, and it came with *one* perch. ONE. WTF. And I don't even use it.

I used to pick up cheap/free cages around where I used to live, take in unwanted/sick/injured birds ... I worked at a pet store, and the staff vet tech would treat them for free, set broken wings and stuff - the store wrote off any meds they needed (I think only one needed something) - and I worked with them until they were somewhat social then placed them in an assisted living complex. Once a week I'd go visit the old people for half an hour with some tidbit of information about birds, I'd clip nails and wings, and they'd be all happy and stuff. It was cool. Some of the couples had cockatiels. Most had finches or budgies. Didn't go any larger for fear of injury ... old people skin is like wet crepe paper.

That's really nice of you to take care of sick/injured animals.

I would like to bid $500,000. Please let me win Emily. I don't have a bird, but I can probably find one somewhere. C'mon.
