I just replaced my Graphics card w/ a GeForce4 TI4280
and replaced my Athlon XP 1600 with a Athlon XP 2200.
My motherboard is a Abit KR7A.
So i installed the new hardware and turned on the computer and an error pops up after it checks the devices and boot saying
"Secondary IDE channel no 80 conductor cable installed" - My secondary IDE is for my CD Drives.
under this theirs the message
"CMOS checksum error- Default loaded."
After i hit F1 to bypass this instead of loading windows i get the message
"NTLDR is missing" and it asks me to Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.
Does anyone know what is going ?? 8/1/2006 6:49:04 PM |

you need to change the boot order of your hard drives, NTLDR is missing means there's no boot sector (no OS) on the drive it's trying to boot from...
