i got stuck picking a computer for my youngest bro to take with him to college. Spec list is under 500, lcd monitor prefered, all in one printer of some type included, windows os, with minimum of one year onsite waranty. there any good deals out there to use this weekend for the tax break?

Slickdeals was posting dell deals that are about $600 with those specs. Dimension E510's through Dell Home. Unless he needs remote desktop, I'm guessing XP Home will be sufficient. Also gives options for cheap all-in-one Dell printers.

As far as the tax-free weekend, I'm guessing the newspapers will be full of ads for the stuff. Hopefully they will be decent deals on the computers. If not, can always do you own Dell spec, bring it to a Dell kiosk in a mall, and have them apply the tax free discount.

Keep checking, or tell him to wait until the next Black Friday
