yeah...its called responsiblity and good parenting...i learned gun safety when i was 9 or 10 years old...never had an accident...actually i did get an AR modified for .40 S&W...got it at a gun show in two different pieces so it would be cheaper...we were in my room testing how it loaded cartridges...put the mag in and let the slide go...three rounds let off into my stereo speaker...course i know never to point loaded guns at people unless i am willing to use them

^^also i've seen 30 round barrel magazines on remington 870 pumps...dude shot off 30 rounds in like 12 seconds

If I lived in another area, then I would see the desire to purchase a gun for protection.

Along with other purposes, as pointed out above, for hunting.
