I'm pretty sure that my computer got surged last week. I've replaced my power supply and motherboard, but it still isn't booting up. My power supply works fine, and the fans and everything else runs until I plug the 4 pin CPU connection onto the board, then it shuts down. Could it be anything else aside from the CPU now that's bad? 8/10/2006 3:20:51 PM |

it could be the board itself, blown traces off the cpu socket. 8/11/2006 10:15:03 AM |

^^ I'm guessing he means the connection from the power supply. 8/11/2006 1:23:31 PM |

yeah probably a 4 pin molex directly into the motherboard. it doesn't seem like a great idea to do that while the computer is turned on though. 8/11/2006 1:25:35 PM |

well, which one did you replace first power supply or motherboard, cuz if it was motherboard, good chance your bad power supply fried your new board. find somebody with a motherboard which accepts your processor and test it that way 10/27/2006 10:37:37 PM |
