My friend took in some very nice cute kittens (ok i'm biased) that were just left on her doorstop. They are adorable but unfortunately I have a dog already. If you're interested, let me know and I'll connect you with her.

She is working with a rescue group so they are the ones who will take the adoption applications and interview people. The rescue group does charge an adoption fee of $100 but the kittens will be already spayed/neutered, vaccinated, etc... so that's actually quite a bargain over what that stuff would cost at the vet.

let me add that they won't be ready for adoption until 3-4 more weeks when they need to be 3 or 4 lbs for neuter/spay

There are a couple kittens here at University Commons that could use a good home.
I took these pictures earlier this week:

From what I can tell they're identical male twins, and I was told they're about 8 months old. They're relatively well fed because everyone here keeps feeding them but we're not allowed to have pets. I would pay to get them neutered but I'm having trouble finding an affordable place that can hold onto them for post surgery. I can't afford to pay $150+ for two kittens that I don't even own, but I really don't want them creating more strays. Please someone take them or help me get them fixed.

I think the little old man who takes care of the University Commons kitties would be crushed if they went away. He plays with them for hours, and even let them come hang out in his apartment with him. He really was the one who tamed them.
